| | Brad Paisley | ] | Many of you know how much i love Austin City Saloon. It is one of my favorite places in the world. Earlier tonight i was invited to go along with Wes, Mike B. and some others to this certain watering hole, and i declined. For the first time ever, i declined an invite to Austin City. Im not going becuase i have to go observe at high school tommorrow and i decided that showing up hung over was not a goo career choice. the thing is though, i still really wanted to go. growing up and getting a real job sucks sometimes, because you cant go out to your favorite bar and get hammered on week nights anymore. that really sucks. |

| | angry | ] | What happened today is what happens when a defense decides that it only wants to play 3 quarters. Our defense rolled over and died in the fourth, allowing Tom Brady and the Patriots to walk right down the field and score twice in the fourth quarter to win. I am going to be in mourning until probably wednesday after this one. The only good thing in the world of football that happened this weekend was that my Alma Matre, St. Xavier, beat the living shit out of the Trinity Shamrocks 48-16. I'm not worried about my Steelers yet though, we are going in to the bye week, we Cowher will get this shit straihgtened out. |

| | espn radio | ] | Interests Answers 1)alcohol: I really like to drink. Most people will specify beer as their interest, but that is because they have not expanded their horizons. i do love beer and it is my drink of choice for financial reasons, but i love all alcohol. i have yet to find a type of alcohol that i would not drink. i may not think it tastes good, but i will drink anything. I basically like drinking.
2)buffets: I'm a fat guy. I like to eat a lot. I can eat a lot. I like to go to places where i can pay one price and eat until i am done eating. for instance, last week i went to red lobster, not a buffet, but they were serving never ending shrimp. i ate 130 shrimp. i like to eat.
3)camping: I have loved camping for many years. not just the pitch a tent at a camp site and drink a beer or two kind, but also the backpacking not showering for a week kind. i havnt been able to go on an extended backpacking trip for a few years now, but i do want to go sometime. i really enjoy being out in the woods, but i need someone to go with. someday i will get involved in scouts again so that i can go camping a lot.
4)cheeseburgers: Cheeseburgers are my food of choice. i have yet to find a burger that i could not lick. i have been told tales of burgers the size of a human head, and i would like to eat one. the biggest burger i have ever had is the sweet daddy at ginnies diner in louisville. it was big and i had not problem with it.
5)country music: i used to like exclusivley classic rock, until i was turned onto country later in my last years of high school. since then i have been a huge country music fan. i enjoy the old stuff more, especially waylon, willie and charlie daniels. as for the new guys, Toby is by far my favorite, but i also really like brad paisley, dirks bently. also among my favorites are alan jackson, alabama, george strait and the nitty gritty dirt band.
6)education: i am in graduate school to be a teacher. i really care about education and am proud to say that i am devoting my life to it. political incorrectness: I get a kick out of getting away with being politically incorrect. not only myself, but when others get away with being politically incorrect, i am very amused. especially when it is on TV.
8)stallone movies: Sly Stallone is the greatest actor of our time. never has an actor given more entertaining performances and been so consistent. OK, i dont really think hes a great actor, but i love every movie he has ever made. they are all so wonderfully bad that i love watching them.
9)the louisiana purchase: Thomas Jefferson is the man. totally abandoning his strict constitutionalist opinions in order to but Louisiana from the French, thereby doubling the size of the US at the time. GO TJ, Napoleon sucks.
10)the steelers: I love my fiance, but if there is one other thing in the world that i really truly love, it is the Pittsurgh Steelers. I really live and die with that team. I once heard a man say that a true fan never has fun watching his team play, and when i thought about it, thats me. When we lose, i am depressed the entire next week, and when we win i dont really feel happy when the game is over. What i feel is more relief than anything. Relief that we won and it is over. even when we are killing a team, i still yell and scream when we get a false start penalty. I just want to see one Superbowl win in my lifetime. |

The combination of Joe Morgan on one channel and Madden on the other has got my dumb-old-man-meter shooting through the roof. its a good thing i went out for drinks with Kevin and Bobby Z earlier so im a little dumbed down, or i would really blow my top. |

| | anxious | ] | Once again I find myself in Lexington for another week of school, work and thinking about the Steelers gameplan for the upcoming sunday. This is not really a bad thing, everyone has crap that they have to do during the week, I just cant wait for the day that i dont have to do it from a crappy apartment in Lexington. I keep thinking about how a year from now I'll be a teacher somewhere and Ill have my own house and all that jazz with a big TV that i can watch Monday Night Football on. Not to mention, Melissa and i will be married by then, so we'll get to hang out instead of talking on the phone. This will be a great advantage for me because I am not good at multitasking. I have trouble talking on the phone and watching football at the same time, a problem that being together all the time will fix. So you see, being married has its advantages far beyond the obvious realm of Love and Commitment. It also makes things easier and seemingly less complicated, especially when you have been communicating mostly by phone and living in different cities for four plus years. Not to take anything away from my wonderful soon to be bride, we actually enjoy watching games together. Thinking about stuff like this actually makes me more excited to get married, even if she is going to leave the house when the Steelers are on. |

| | tired | ] | The steelers are 2 and 0 but face a tough game against the Patriots next week. We really need to win that one, because i hate the Patriots, not because they have won the last two Superbowls and three of the last four, but because during the 80's and early 90's they had the worst helmets in the NFL. In my mind, that is a perfectly good reason to hate a team, if i need a reason at all. The fact that Tom Brady is a piece of shit doesnt help their case though. While im on the topic of teams that i hate, Romeo Crennel and the Browns beat the Packers today. My hatred of the Browns is surpassed only by.......................the only thing i could think of that i hate more than the Browns is Nazi Germany, but that was before i was born so I dont know if that counts. I digress. I really hate the Browns and when they beat Brett Favre it seems like the NFL has taken a step backwards. However, when they lose, its a good day for football. I apply the same philosophy to the Dallas Cowboys, becasue i hate them to. At any rate, down with the Browns, Cowboys and Patriots, The Triumviate of Shitty Football Teams. |
